‘Treasure & Dirt’ Sets Premiere Date on ABC

‘Treasure & Dirt’ Sets Premiere Date on ABC

The next adaptation of Chris Hammer’s catalogue, Treasure & Dirt, is set to premiere Sunday, July 19th at 8.30pm on ABC TV, with all episodes available to stream on ABC iview.

Treasure & Dirt was created for television by Matt Cameron, who also led the writing team by penning five out of the six episodes, and served as Executive Producer. Kate Mulvany wrote the remaining script, which is episode two of the series. Completing the writing team, Andrew Anastasios acted as Script Editor.

Dean O’Gorman features as the ‘The Irishman’.

Set in the scorched, dust-choked opal mining town of Nulla, the series stars Michael Dorman and Liv Hewson as big-city homicide detective Ivan Lucic and former local constable Nell Buchanan, respectively. The story picks up with the brutal beheading of a local miner, leading Lucic into a labyrinthine case with no easy answers. Assigned to him is Buchanan, who knows Nulla’s lawless, corrupt underbelly far better than he does. Together, they’re drawn into a strange, surreal underworld of secrets, greed, and old sins that won’t stay buried.

Shot in South Australia, the series was produced by Easy Tiger in association with the ABC, BBC and the South Australian Film Corporation.
