Andrew Anastasios is a highly sought-after screenwriter, script producer and producer with a strong interest in historical narratives.
Most recently, Andrew worked as Story Producer on Easy Tiger and ABC’s highly praised crime series Treasure and Dirt, and script produced as well as penned episode five of The Family Next Door (Beyond Entertainment/ ABC, 2025). His television writing credits include seasons five & six of Wentworth (2016/17) for Fremantle Media, Jack Irish (2016-2020) for Easy Tiger, which Andrew co-created, and two seasons of Darby and Joan for CJZ and Network 10 (2022-24). In 2022 he wrote four episodes of Irreverent (Matchbox Pictures/ Peacock/ Netflix, 2022). Other recent credits include four episodes across seasons one, two and three of NCIS: Sydney (Endemol Shine/ Paramount+/ CBS, 2023-) and two episodes for Troppo season two (Beyond/ Amazon/ ABC), in addition to script producing the series.
Andrew has served as a Script Producer on the Seven Studios series Secret Bridesmaids Business (2018-2019), Aquarius Films and the ABC’s Savage River (2022), and Matchbox/ Netflix’s Irreverent (2022). He also acted as Script Editor on all episodes of the Stan series Prosper (Lingo Pictures/ Lionsgate Films, 2024), working with lead writer and frequent collaborator Matt Cameron.
Andrew co-wrote (with Andrew Knight) The Water Diviner (dir. Russell Crowe/ Fear of God Films, 2014), for which he was nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Original Screenplay and won two AWGIE Awards, including Best Writing in an Original Feature Film.
Andrew has recently completed writing and script producing on See-Saw Film's upcoming legal drama The Great White, and is now entering active development on projects with Beyond Entertainment, Lingo Pictures and Helium Pictures.
