Congratulations to Adam Kamien for his AJFF Win!

We'd like to extend our congratulations to writer-director Adam Kamien, whose documentary Surviving Malka Leifer had its North American premiere at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, where it won the Human Rights Jury Award.

Surviving Malka Leifer tells the story of three sisters from an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community who fight to bring their former headmistress to justice after she flees to Israel following abuse allegations, facing community pressure and legal battles. The film had its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival and also screened at the Jewish International Film Festival in Sydney.
