Michael Gow's National Tour of 'Don Giovanni' Opens in South Australia
Michael Gow’s Don Giovanni opened in South Australia last week to great acclaim and will tour Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania over the next five weeks.
One of opera's most enduring legends, Mozart’s Don Giovanni tells the tale of an unrepentant, notorious, womaniser as his immoral ways ultimately lead to his downfall. This Michael Gow production was first performed in Dandenong in 2012, and now returns for Opera Australia's 30th modern national tour.
The production stars Christian Haotian Qi, Kiran Rajasingam, Chelsea Burns, Celeste Lazarenko, Tomas Dalton, Cathy-Di Zhang and Benjamin Del Borrello. It is conducted by Simon Bruckard.
