Job Opportunity – Associate Agent
Cameron’s is looking for an Associate Agent to work across our diverse roster of talent.
We are looking for someone at associate level or perhaps an assistant, ready to step up. It’s a role where you work closely with established agents, supporting and learning the craft of representation while gradually building your own instincts, relationships, and voice.
WHAT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE
You bring at least 4-5 years’ experience in a literary or talent agency, theatre company or adjacent industry environment.
You understand artist contracts, rights, and negotiations and have worked directly with artists and know how to manage those relationships. You have a genuine, informed engagement with Australian theatre and ideally have some exposure to screen.
WHO YOU ARE
You read. You watch. You care about quality.
You enjoy an industry-facing role, and seeing theatre, film, and new work and attending openings, events, and industry nights.
You also might hold a Bachelor of Arts (Theatre, Literature, Screen or similar), or equivalent experience. Some legal training would also be a strong advantage.
You’re also:
A strong communicator, clear, thoughtful, tactful
Someone people enjoy being around (this matters more than you think)
Confident and able to hold your ground with clients and producers
A team player who’s here for the work, not the ego
Focused, reliable, and consistent in how you show up
And importantly, you want to be an Agent, not the talent.
