Production Designer Nicki Gardiner Joins the Agency
We’re thrilled to announce production designer Nicki Gardiner is joining the agency!
Nicki Gardiner is an award-winning production designer with an extensive career spanning high-end television and feature films. Most recently, Nicki worked on the Paramount+ mini-series Dalliance (Roadshow Rough Diamond), directed by Emma Jackson and Matthew Saville, currently in post-production. This follows her work in the UK on the thriller The Rumour for Clapperboard Studios and Channel 5, and the third season of the hit drama The Teacher, which saw Nicki designing across both London and Spain.
Prior to this, she designed the first and second series of the acclaimed comedy Austin (ABC / BBC / ITV), starring Michael Theo and Ben Miller, as well as the 1950s period drama Ten Pound Poms (Eleven Film / BBC / Stan) and the Amazon Prime survivalist comedy Class of ’07. Her other television credits include the second season of the breakout hit Bump (Roadshow Rough Diamond), the gritty crime drama Australian Gangster, and the second season of The Other Guy for Aquarius Films and Hulu.
In feature films, Nicki designed the vibrant and stylized H is for Happiness (2019), as well as the 2017 feature Guilty (Savage Films) and a number of short films.
Before transitioning into production design, Nicki established herself as one of the industry's premier set decorators. Her extensive credits in this field include iconic films such as George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, for which she shares an Oscar for Excellence in Production Design with Colin Gibson, Lion, for which she received an American Art Directors Guild nomination shared with Chris Kennedy, Hotel Mumbai, The Matrix, Superman Returns, and The Railway Man. She was also the recipient of the APDG Award for Best Set Decoration in a Feature Film for her work on 2:22. A graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Nicki is based in Sydney and holds British, Australian, and New Zealand passports.
