Cameron's Welcomes John Ridley

Cameron’s is thrilled to welcome John Ridley to the agency!

John Ridley is an acclaimed Australian screenwriter and executive producer behind some of the country's most celebrated television dramas.

Writing 29 episodes of the multi-award-winning Foxtel/Netflix hit Wentworth (Fremantle Media), and receiving an AWGIE nomination for his episode "Metamorphosis", John was a key creative force in shaping its eight-season run. John also adapted the U.S. thriller Chosen (Sony/Playmaker Media) for iQIYI, China’s largest streaming platform, created SBS’s supernatural drama Hungry Ghosts (Matchbox Pictures), for which he received an AWGIE nomination for Best Miniseries, and wrote the global feature release Black Water: Abyss (Universal/Altitude Films).

John's other credits include Bite Club (Sony/Playmaker Media), for which he wrote all eight episodes, Wanted (Matchbox Pictures), Wild Boys (Southern Star), Sea Patrol (McElroy All Media), Rescue Special Ops (Southern Star), Nowhere Boys (Matchbox Pictures) and A Place to Call Home (Seven Network/Foxtel).

Most recently, he created, wrote, and served as showrunner on High Country (Rage Media/Curio Pictures) for Binge, which became the most successful Foxtel Original ever produced and the highest-rating international drama on BBC One since 2020. 

John currently has multiple original series in active development.
