Josh Mapleston is an EP and Lead Writer of ‘Ghosts’ Australia to be shot by DOP Emma Paine

Josh Mapleston is an Executive Producer and Lead Writer of the upcoming Australian remake of sitcom Ghosts, which has begun filming in Perth. Emma Paine is the Director of Photography and will be shooting all episodes. The eight-part series is from BBC Studios Australia for Network 10 and Paramount+. The ensemble cast includes Mandy McElhinney, Brent Hill, Ines English, Michelle Brasier, Jackson Tozer and George Zhao.

The Australian adaptation of the UK and US comedy follows Tamala Shelton as Kate, a young woman navigating a new relationship who discovers she has inherited a huge and historic mansion in the country. She wants to revamp Ramshead Manor into a boutique hotel, but loveable city boy Sean (played Rowan Witt) has his doubts. When a near-death experience gives Kate the power to see the ghosts, all their lives (and afterlives) will change forever.

Ghosts will premiere on Network 10 and Paramount+ later this year.
