Peter Duncan's Operation Buffalo Premieres to Strong Reviews

After it’s ABC premiere on Sunday, Peter Duncan’s Operation Buffalo has recieved strong reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Created by Peter Duncan and Tanya Phegan, Operation Buffalo is a gripping thriller, set in Maralinga, South Australia, at the height of the Cold War. At a remote army base carrying out British nuclear testing, paranoia runs rife and nuclear bombs are not the only things being put to the test, as loyalty, love, and betrayal are pitted against each other.

PerthNow hails Operation Buffalo as ‘…an important insight into the devastation we unleashed on Aboriginals centuries after colonisation.’

news.com.au states that Operation Buffalo…elegantly weaves together the various subplots and the historical context to tell a story that doesn’t let anyone get away with the absurdities committed in the name of national (and Commonwealth) security.’

With Art Direction by Cameron’s client Nicholas Dare, and a performance by Cameron’s actor Philip Quast, Operation Buffalo is a captivating drama that continues 8:30pm Sunday June 7th on ABC / iView.
