Catherine Millar's 'The Secret She Keeps' Receives Stirring Reviews Following Premiere

After debuting the entire series early on Ten Play two weeks ago, The Secret She Keeps, had its official premiere last night on Network Ten, which has been followed by stirring reviews from both critics and audiences alike.

Cameron’s client, writer-director Catherine Millar, directed four of the six episodes and has received praise for her work.

The Sydney Morning Herald wrote, “this is a really tightly scripted and directed piece of work that harks back to that wave of psychological (and psychosexual) thrillers that enjoyed such popularity in the 1990s, films like The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Pacific Heights, Basic Instinct and the aforementioned SWF. “

 The Guardian praised the direction of the series, addressing that what is achieved is, “no easy feat, pushing viewers into a psychologically tense space where walls feel like they are closing in and the actions of certain characters become maddening.”
