Tokyo Trail gets nods in Awards Season
In the wake of eOne securing worldwide distribution rights, four-part mini-series Tokyo Trail received a 45th International Emmy Award nomination for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series. It also won the Noorderkroon Award for Best Film at the 2017 Noordelijk Film Festival in the Netherlands (re-cut as a feature).
Cameron’s client Max Mannix was one of four co-writers on the mini-series, which is an historical drama about the post WWII tribunal that began in 1946 in Tokyo – the Japanese counterpart of the Nuremberg trial where war criminals face trial. Recreated with a combination of archival footage and dramatic enactments it was produced by Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), FATT (Netherlands) and Don Carmody Television (DCTV, Canada) in association with Netflix.
Tokyo Trail is available to watch now on Netflix.
