Cole Haddon

Cole Haddon, an Australian-American screenwriter and novelist, was educated at the University of Michigan in the United States. He began his career as a journalist for Village Voice Media, Times-Shamrock Syndicate, and other print and on-line publications before he moved from Detroit, Michigan to Los Angeles, California to pursue screenwriting.

His first script was commissioned by Warner Bros., and he has gone on to receive more than twenty-five other commissions from studios, networks, and production entities in the United States, United Kingdom, and across Europe. Dracula, his first TV commission, was produced by NBC and Sky and debuted in October 2013 starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Cole was commissioned to write the feature film Genocidal Organ for Bold Films with Park Chan-wook directing, the rock musical feature Zombie Broadway with The Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart providing the music and Jonas Åkerlund directing, and the TV series Suspiria De Profundis for Cattleya with Floria Sigismondi directing. He also has original series in development with Big Talk/CBS International, Lost City, Temple Hill Entertainment, and BlackBox Multimedia.

Headline Publishing Group recently acquired worldwide rights to his debut novel, Psalms for the End for the World, which was released in 2022. His graphic novels have been published by Dark Horse and Kickstart Entertainment.

After twelve years in L.A. and four years in the U.K., Cole and his family decided to permanently relocate to Australia. He now lives in the Blue Mountains of Australia, not far from where his mother grew up, where he will continue to work across his robust international slate, in addition to developing projects within the local industry. He is currently writing an episode for season 2 of Troppo for Beyond/ Amazon Prime.
