Anne Brooksbank

Anne Brooksbank was born in Melbourne. She was educated at Melbourne University, where she received an MA in English literature and history. She also studied painting at the National Gallery School, before embarking on a writing career.

Her novels for young adults include On Loan and Archer, and for Penguin Sir KatherineMother's Day, Father's Day and Big Thursday. For adults she has written All My Love and Marriage Acts.

Anne has written extensively for film and television, with credits that include Blue HeelersWater Rats and A Country Practice. She recently co-wrote the AACTA nominated Don’t Tell, for director Tori Garrett, and  Heatstroke, starring Maisie Williams and directed by Evelyn Purcell for Bold Films.
