Rachel Kelly is an author and screenwriter drawn to storytelling in several genres – mainly crime, thriller, mystery and romance (drama and comedy).

In 2013, Rachel was selected for the Australian Writers’ Guild’s elite Pathways program after the competition success of her screenplay, Kindred.

She was selected as one of Film Victoria’s six official screenwriting delegates for the 2015 Melbourne International Film Festival 37*South Market. And at the 2015 London Screenwriters’ Festival, Rachel was selected to attend three elite masterclasses.

Rachel is working on three novels and has several feature films and two TV series in development.

Prior to dedicating herself full-time to writing screenplays and novels, Rachel spent 25 years in media in Australia and overseas, including 15 years in senior editing roles within Fairfax Media.

She lives on the south-west Victorian coast with her husband and three children.
