Nikki McWatters


Nikki McWatters was shortlisted for a Queensland Premier’s Literary Award for Emerging Writer and had her memoir, One Way or Another: the girl who loved rock stars, published in 2012. Her first young adult novel, Sandy Feet, was published under the name ‘Nikki Buick’ in 2014 and her next novel in the same genre, Hexenhaus, set in Europe during the witch-hunting hysteria, was released in 2016. Her short fiction has appeared in The Big Issue, the Newcastle Literary Award Anthology and the Grieve Project. In 2016 Nikki won the prestigious international MOTH short story award.

She has three more books in the works.
