Nick Place has a long CV in journalism and the media, as everything from a sports reporter and a newspaper police rounds reporter to television writer/producer. He has been published in non-fiction long form, co-authoring such books as 50 Years of Television in Australia, Heart of the Game, and Great Australian Sporting Moments, as well as writing and producing TV documentaries. As a fiction writer, he is the author of four fantasy comedy novels for pre-teens (internationally published) and has written scripts, a comedy stage show musical and been published as a poet (under the pseudonym Nicko Longabaugh). His adult comedy crime novel, Roll With It (Hardie Grant, 2013), was critically acclaimed. His new non fiction book, Stalin’s Wine Cellar, will publish with Penguin Random House in 2020.
