‘The Castle’ Directed by Paige Rattray Announced for Melbourne Stage Debut

30 years on since its release, The Castle, will be reimagined as a major theatrical production, set for its Australian Premiere in Melbourne.  

The adaptation has been written by the original creators of the beloved film, Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner, Santo Cilauro and Jane Kennedy. Paige Rattray is set to direct.

Join the Kerrigan family as they take on a battle no one saw coming to protect the home they love. The Castle is a warm, joyful and uplifting celebration of family, community and the ultimate pursuit of serenity.

The Michael Cassel Group and Working Dog production will open at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne from March 2027 for a strictly limited season.
