Giula is an experienced screenwriter.
She is currently developing an original TV drama for Ecosse Films (UK) as well adapting a book for Ecosse for the BBC. She’s optioned three original series ideas/scripts to See-Saw-Films (UK), to Werner Films (co-written with David Hannam) and another to Hoodlum Pictures and LuckyChap. She also has four original tv series ideas under option in the UK. Giula has also written 2 episodes of Whitehouse Farm a series created by Kris Mrksa which in development at New Pictures (UK) for ITV and recently wrote an episode for Matchbox Pictures’ Glitch Season 2, having written on the first season.
Other recent credits include Grace Beside Me (Magpie Pictures for ABC), A Place To Call Home (Seven Productions for Foxtel) and the Blackfella/Werner series Ready for This for the ABC. Giula script produced, with David Hannam, the second series of NBCU/Matchbox's Nowhere Boys, which won the 2015 Logie for Most Outstanding Children’s Program and has been nominated for an International Emmy as well as an AACTA award, she also wrote 3 episodes on series 3. Her many TV writing and script editing credits include: Wentworth, Love Child, McLeod’s Daughters and Rescue: Special Ops. Giula wrote the anthology feature Little Deaths, (feature length anthology of 11 episodes on a single theme) and it was the winner of 2008 DigiSpaa Award. She has written many short films and her original feature screenplay The Winter Child is in development.
Giula studied a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Television at VCA and she completed a Masters in Scriptwriting at AFTRS.
