Emma recently directed two episodes on the third season of the AACTA Award winning Foxtel series The Twelve for Easy Tiger/WBTV, having directed an episode in season two.

In 2022, Emma was selected by Screen West and Princess Pictures for a competitive director's attachment position on the Disney+ series Last Days of The Space Age, working alongside Rachel Ward, while also directing the second and Perth units.

Emma’s most recent short film, Joan, secured competitive Screen West Elevate short film funding and premiered at Cinefest OZ before being awarded Best Female Director at Toronto Art Film Spirit Awards, and screening at Flickerfest.

After more than two decades as an actor, Emma pivoted successfully into directing with her first short film, Deb, which was a finalist for the Best Female Filmmaker Award at CinefestOz. Emma completed her Masters in filmmaking, receiving numerous accolades and awards, including a nomination for a Yugo BAFTA Award.

Emma’s acting background has proven invaluable to her directing skills, bringing a unique sensitivity to working with actors and understanding the nuances of performance. Emma is represented as an actor by Sophie Jermyn at SJM.
