Claire Phillips has had an extensive career in the television industry as a sought-after writer and script producer.

Most recently, Claire wrote two episodes on the second instalment of hit Network Seven series Royal Flying Doctor Service (Endemol Shine Australia, 2023). This marked her return to show after she wrote multiple episodes and co-script produced on the first season, which was nominated for the 2021 AACTA Audience Choice Award for Favourite Television Drama and a 2022 Logie Award for Most Popular Drama Program.

Claire’s other television credits include co-writing the season three finale of Five Bedrooms (Hoodlum Entertainment/ Network Ten/ Paramount+, 2022); co-script producing and writing two episodes on season one of Playing for Keeps (Screentime/ Roadshow Entertainment/ Network 10, 2018-19) as well as episode one of season two. She wrote multiple episodes of the seventh season of Offspring (Southern Star/ Network Ten, 2017) and worked on both series one and two of The Wrong Girl (Playmaker Media/ Network Ten, 2016-17).

Claire established herself as a writing force on BedHead, a web series she co-created, co-wrote and produced that went on to be commissioned as a half hour pilot for ABC and Screen Australia’s Flesh Blood Comedy Initiative. The series screened at LA Web Fest and Melbourne Web Fest, winning multiple honours, including Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actor. The series also led to Claire’s second AWGIE nomination in 2015, her first being the Monte Miller Award for Best Unproduced Screenplay for her pilot The Box.

Claire is currently involved in various projects in development, one of which is a dark crime comedy with Ainslie Clouston for Endemol Shine. She’s also working on a feature which recently received funding from Screen NSW.
